The books were very late. They were 116 years late!
The man’s name was Mr. O’Sullivan. His grandfather’s name was Walter Griffith Owen.
Long ago, in 1910, Walter borrowed the books from the library. Then he never returned them.
Walter was a soldier. He fought in two big wars. During World War II, he lived near the library.
Mr. O’Sullivan brought the old books back. The library workers were very happy. They took a photo with him.
